OK, so you're thinking that maybe, just maybe you want to be a model...
The next logical question is: "How do I go about doing that?!"
The modeling industry is thought to be difficult to break into. In reality, modeling is just like any other business or profession: it takes a game plan, hard work, and dedicated effort, but it is not something that is unattainable.
I discovered this in the process of helping a friend get into the industry. After a number of false starts, dead ends, and time and money consuming endeavors, my friend Aaron finally was signed with an agency in New York, and it looks like others with whom I've worked since then will soon also be signed. All of us have learned a great deal about what must be done, and what not to do if one wants to become a professional model.
Take a look at print ads in the paper or your favorite magazines... you'll note that all types of people—young, old, men, women, boys, girls, black, white, etc.—are used to convey certain messages and help enhance the sales or promotions of certain items. You may not consider yourself "attractive" or "model material" when in fact you are!!

If you want to be a successful model, you must love the work, feel comfortable doing it, and have fun doing it. Of all three, having fun is the most important—if you aren't having fun, it does show through in the end photo product.
